Wanaque Special Education Parent Advisory Committee
The Wanaque SEPAG is a state mandated group for parents, educators and individuals concerned about the children with special needs and/or learning disabilities within the Wanaque School District.
The group’s mission is to facilitate communication between students, parents, staff, the Board of Education, and the community, with regard to issues surrounding the district’s special education programs, for the purpose of advising the Board of Education and administration on matters pertaining to improving the quality of special education district-wide.
The Wanaque SEPAG offers information about various topics meant to inform and inspire attendees, and to increase the community’s understanding of the district’s special education programs and services. Some meetings are informal, while others feature guest speakers and presentations. The discussions relate to the education, health, and safety of the children in our district.
The committee encourages all parents, educators and interested adults to attend and provide input, for we believe that all input is crucial in meeting the special needs of our children.
Together we can make a difference in enhancing the educational program offered to our children!
