The Wanaque Public School District Mission StatementThe Wanaque Public School District, a unified community in partnership with students in grades PreK-8, parents, and staff, engages all students by providing an enriched academic and social foundation that fosters a love of learning, where all students achieve the New Jersey Common Core Standards at all grade levels, thereby creating informed citizens ready to meet the varying challenges of a rapidly changing world.
Recognizing and providing positive learning experiences necessary to foster the intellectual, social, physical, and emotional development of the individual child will accomplish this mission.
District Goals for the 2018-2019 School Year
To better individualize instructional practice and monitor student growth, teachers will deepen their knowledge of making data-informed decisions when collecting, analyzing, communicating and utilizing data. With this expanded knowledge, the teacher will meet learners where they are and lead them forward with intention and precision to ensure continual development for each and every student.
To develop and strengthen teacher expertise, specifically in literacy and mathematics instruction, allowing every student to engage in joyful, purposeful learning that appropriately challenges them to ensure core content mastery and maximizes their opportunity to excel academically.
To develop and sustain an organizational culture that values and supports collaborative reform and improvement. Teachers and administrators will engage in substantive problem solving and innovation that fosters learning, communication, understanding, and a positive culture in our schools and community.
